What’s the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of library storage? File folders, bookshelves, paper documents? If so, you may be stuck in the 80′s with that magnificent mullet. Not to fear, we’ve got storage solutions for any library.
Adding Value to Your Library with High-Density Mobile Storage
When this Seattle Library required space for interaction with their collection, room to host community events, and a gift shop, McMurray Stern’s High-Density Mobile Storage was the only solution that could provide space for revenue-generating activities while maintaining a beautiful design.
The Modern Library Storage Solution
Seattle’s new central library, principally designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and Joshua Ramus from OMA in a joint venture with LMN Architects of Seattle, has been the focus of national attention. The 362,987-square-foot, the state-of-the-art 11-story facility houses 1.4 million volumes of books. “As in any library, the central focus is the books and the shelving that they sit on,” said Pragnesh Parikh of LMN Architects.
